We finally decided on a name!

It’s been too long since I’ve made a post, so I figured I would write a quick post about something you all may be interested to know. We’ve finally decided on a name for our little girl! Some of you might have already heard about this, but I felt like I needed to make an official announcement here on the site.

I suspected that we would have a hard time agreeing on a name and boy, was I right. We never really got into any arguments. It was just a lot of, “what do you think about this,” and, “what do you think about that one.” After pouring over what seemed like a million names, we finally decided on the first name: Hannah.

Those who have attended a few Sunday school classes probably know that it’s a name straight out of the Bible with it’s own story. We’ve always like the name Hannah and the fact that it’s a biblical name really appeals to us. So, with the first name decided, we had to focus on a middle name!

Honestly, the middle name was the hardest for me. Not only am I picky about names and their meanings, but I also care about how it all fits together. So, the search began again, only this time it was, “what do you think about Hannah this,” and, “what do you think about Hannah that.”

After looking at another million names and saying them all out loud, I decided to make a spreadsheet of all the names we liked (I know, I’m a bit of a dork). This actually made things much easier since we could focus on the names we liked without worrying about whether we had forgotten about one. It was after I made the spreadsheet that we came up with the middle name: Claire.

So there you have it, folks. We’ve decided to name out little girl: Hannah Claire Holt. Kind of has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?

It seems that you guys are wanting to see the “baby bump” that Kennye is growing. I just wanted to let you know that I plan on posting some pics this weekend, including some baby bump pictures. In addition, I have some new ultrasound images that I want to post, so keep a look out for those.

Oh, one last thing! We have managed to get ourselves registered at a few places for some wonderful baby stuff. Those places being Babies R US, Target, and good ‘ole Walmart. I plan on setting up the Baby Page with more info and links. Getting registered was sort of a bumpy experience. Bumpy enough for me to rant about it on one of my other sites, GeekInspired.com.
