BBQ Party at Ken’s - January 3, 2009
January 5, 2009
This past Saturday, Ken invited us, the Boswells, and the Metzgers over to enjoy some BBQ. So we packed up little Hannah and headed towards the Canary’s house at around 6pm.
The BBQ was great and seeing all the little babies in one place was quite a sight. Thankfully, Bo had his camera gear with him and was able to snap a several good pictures of Hannah.

Hannah Claire Holt has arrived!
December 29, 2008
Ok, I know I’ve not done a good job with updating the site. Most of you all have all heard the good news, but to make it official, Hannah was born a couple of weeks ago. She was born on December 13th, at 3:59am. She weighed exactly 7 pounds and was 19 inches long.
I’ve taken tons of pics but haven’t had much time to get them ready for the site. However, I do have a few that I can share. Enjoy!
Maternity Pictures by Bo Boswell
November 10, 2008
A few weeks ago, Kennye and I went to see my good buddy Bo Boswell to have some maternity pictures taken. We stopped by his office for some studio shots before heading over to Centennial Park for some outdoors shots.
I gotta say, I had no idea Bo had some much photography gear. We’re talking seamless paper drops, various high-end flashes, softboxes, remote triggers… the works. He even brought a remotely triggered flash and umbrella out to the park. It’s pretty obvious Bo is working towards being a full time professional photographer and man, does he have a good start! Hannah’s Ultrasound - Week 31
November 1, 2008
Kennye went in for another ultrasound last Thursday. I put “31 weeks” in the title, but I guess you could say that she was 32 weeks since each Friday begins the next week for us.
After the doctor saw what he was looking for, the ultrasound tech showed us around again. We got another nice profile shot of her face and one where she looks like she is sucking her thumb. Also, right before we were done, the tech showed her face again just in time for us to see her yawn. Amazing. Read more
We finally decided on a name!
September 10, 2008
It’s been too long since I’ve made a post, so I figured I would write a quick post about something you all may be interested to know. We’ve finally decided on a name for our little girl! Some of you might have already heard about this, but I felt like I needed to make an official announcement here on the site.

Pregnancy Week 20 - Is it a Boy or a Girl?
August 8, 2008
Kennye and I went for our Week 20 ultrasound yesterday. This was just another routine ultrasound checkup except that we were far enough along to see the gender of the baby.
I think it will be fun to look back on this day, so I’m going to fluff up the exciting news with a few details.

Swimming Lessons for Infants
July 23, 2008
A few months ago, someone sent me a video that showed a toddler falling into a pool, but saving himself by swimming to the surface and floating on his back. It’s quite a sight to see.
Something reminded me of that video this morning, so I decided to look it up on YouTube. I’ve embedded the video below just in case some of you haven’t seen it yet.

Due Date December 26
June 24, 2008
As you’ve probably heard, little Holt’s due date is December 26. Now, we all know about the great thing that happened on December 25, but what about the day after? I thought it would be interesting to look up some of the big occurrences of our due date. Here’s what I found:
Chinese Calendar Predicts the Gender of Your Baby?
June 21, 2008
My mom mentioned recently that she looked up this Chinese calendar that supposedly can predict if you’re going to have a boy or a girl. Well, I just did a search on my own to see what it was all about. Kennye and I sat here and used the calendar for as many examples as we could think of to see how accurate it was. Surprisingly, it was correct for all of the examples we came up with (and were reasonably sure about the details).

Today’s Ultrasound
June 5, 2008
Today we had another ultrasound at Dr. Burch’s office. We we’re able to see the tiny heart pumping and just how much the little guy has developed so far. You can see the head (on the right) and body in addition to the little arms and legs that are poking out its sides. After another week or so, the baby will be able to curl its fingers and toes and kick around (though, it will be a couple of months before Kennye will be able to feel any of that).
