BBQ Party at Ken’s - January 3, 2009
January 5, 2009
This past Saturday, Ken invited us, the Boswells, and the Metzgers over to enjoy some BBQ. So we packed up little Hannah and headed towards the Canary’s house at around 6pm.
The BBQ was great and seeing all the little babies in one place was quite a sight. Thankfully, Bo had his camera gear with him and was able to snap a several good pictures of Hannah.

Coker Thanksgiving 2008
November 26, 2008
Last Saturday, we had the Coker side of the family over the house for a little Thanksgiving celebration. Also, little did Kennye and I know that the rest of the family had planned to have a sort of mini-shower for us as well. You guys are awesome.
Everyone showed up at the house at around 6:00pm. Jan and Bobby, who were probably putting the final touches on the turkey, were just a little late. Once everyone showed up, we dug in. Actually, I think the kids started a bit before the grownups… not sure how that happened.
The little table we have next to the kitchen was designated as the kid’s table. Allyson, Brayden, Madelyn, and Izzy all seemed happy to sit together and enjoy all the great food. The dining and living rooms were occupied by the adults. Although, it’s hard to say who sat where due to the carousel effect that Thanksgiving food tends to have.
Of course, I had my camera through all of this so I took several pictures. I tried not to let the “little ones” steal the show as they have an unfair advantage of being way too cute. So, I’ve managed to work in a picture or two of the grownups. I’ll be honest, the “grownups” didn’t make this whole process as easy as they could. It seems that, in reckless abandon, they decided to lift their shirts towards the end of the night. My apologies. Read more
Happy Birthday Madelyn! - October 2008
October 5, 2008
Little Madelyn had her birthday party this last Saturday afternoon. I can’t believe she is four already. There were lots of family members and friends at the Coker house, so I took the opportunity to snap as many pictures as I could.
Here are some of the pictures I took during the festivities. I took lots of pictures, but these are by far my favorites! If any of you guys want an image for print, just send me an email. Read more
Peking Acrobats on the General Jackson
August 19, 2008
Last Saturday, Kennye and I rode the General Jackson with the Metzgers and the Boswells to see the Peking Acrobats perform. Kennye and I had seen the show before a couple of years ago, but wanted to see them again. This time, I had my camera with me.

Katie Canary Birthday 2008
July 22, 2008
Last Saturday, little Katie Canary had her first birthday party. The festivities took place outside on Ken and Amy’s spacious driveway, where lots of tables, umbrellas, tents and fans had been set up.
If you did anything outside last Saturday in the state of Tennessee, you’ll remember it being quite warm. This didn’t seem to slow down the party, however. In fact, just as things were kicking off, a nice big cloud moved in to provide us some shade. This, combined with all the umbrellas and fans, made things rather comfortable!

Ingle Cookout 2008
July 7, 2008
A couple of Saturdays ago (June 28), Uncle Donnie had everyone over for a cookout/birthday celebration. Traditionally, it seems like the cookouts are usually the weekend of the 4th of July, but this one was just a bit early. But that didn’t stop everyone from showing up. There was a pretty big crowd at the Ingle’s house before it was all said and done.
Here are some of the pictures I took during the cookout. If you see any particular ones that you want, or if you want the whole set, send me an email and I’ll pass them along. Let me warn you, though, that these pictures have been cropped down a bit, so they may not look just like the originals.
By the way, I took a few pictures that afternoon of Gina’s girls playing with the bubbles out on the deck. I had intended on putting them on this page, but there were just too many. I’ll try to get those ready for the web and post them separately later on this week.

Madelyn’s Dance Recital 2008
June 19, 2008
Last Sunday afternoon, my little niece, Madelyn, had a dance recital in Nashville. Even though I was told that cameras were not allowed, I brought my new XTi to snap some pics. Now, I must warn you, I’m just beginning to understand how to properly use this thing, and it was pitch black in there… and I was nearly all the way at the back of the auditorium. So if you see a little blur here and there, those are my excuses.

House Construction Summary - Part 3
May 28, 2008
Here’s the last part of the three-part house construction summary. As I mentioned in the previous parts, I’m slowly moving everything over from the old site to this new configuration. The bright side is that I get plenty of practice at using the new system, as well as show off some of the fancy bells and whistles.
This last part will take you through November and December. Also, in addition to what I had previously posted, I’ve found a few pictures of the sod and landscaping, so I’ll toss those in at the bottom. You’ll also get to see more trimming, painting, finishing the hardwood floors, and installing cabinets, lights, and more! If you missed the first two parts, follow these links: Part 1 | Part 2 Read more
House Construction Summary - Part 2
May 27, 2008
This is part two of a three-part summary of the posts I made while we built our new house. As I mentioned in Part 1, I’m doing this because I have updated my site and I just couldn’t do away with all the work I did when I originally posted all of this.
This second part covers all the things that went on between the first week of October through early November. You’ll see everything from bricking to trimming and hardwood floors. Kennye and my mom also make special appearances.

House Construction Summary - Part 1
May 27, 2008
Since I’ve redesigned the site and included a management system for my posts, I realized that I need to move some of the more popular posts over into this new format. Ordinarily I’d feel inconvenienced, but now I get to play with some of the new features.
This page follows the building process from late July (when we were picking out a suitable lot) through late September. You’ll see everything from overgrown grass and trees to a fully framed house. I hope to post the next two parts back to back so that you can find them easily.
