Peking Acrobats on the General Jackson

Posted on August 19, 2008 by Jared

Last Saturday, Kennye and I rode the General Jackson with the Metzgers and the Boswells to see the Peking Acrobats perform. Kennye and I had seen the show before a couple of years ago, but wanted to see them again. This time, I had my camera with me.

The boat left the dock at around noon. We all settled in at the front of the boat on the top deck for a few minutes. Just when we were starting to feel too hot, the crew announced that we could be seated in the dining hall for our lunch. So we made our way to the main hall and found our table (Table #4, front and center). We took up most of the seats, but a family of four who were vacationing from Minnesota also sat with us.

We started off with salads, nothing fancy there (though, the lemon poppy seed dressing was really good). The entree was pork and chicken served with either stir-fry or noodles. The dessert was some sort of strawberry concoction that didn’t really taste very good at all.

The actual show began at around 1:15pm and lasted for roughly an hour. Just as before, I sat in my seat with my mouth open through the entire show. The stuff these guys do is simply ridiculous at times. If you ever have a chance to check them out, I highly recommend that you do!

As I mentioned earlier, I managed to bring my camera to snap a few pictures of their crazy acrobatics. Here are a some of the better pictures I took:
